As a wedding photographer every now and then you photograph a wedding that makes you kinda stop. You feel it. How lucky it is to be invited to look into the windows of peoples’ most intimate moments in their lives. To say it is humbling doesn’t resonant. Wendy and Justin’s Daniel Vineyard wedding was one of those times. They absolutely adore each other. They met at a Halloween party while in college. Justin was decked as the infamous White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and Wendy, graciously adorned as Max from Where the Wild Things. Fitting. A few of Earth’s rotations around the sun later they bumped into one another at a local grocer.

“Justin brought an abundance of laughter and unconditional love into my life,” said Wendy, who is an outstanding journalist at the Register-Herald. “I definitely hoped we would get married, but never knew for sure until he got down on one knee and proposed at a Halloween party we were hosting together in 2015.” Justin works as a senior IT technician at Compute One and spends a lot of his time home roasting coffee beans. When I first met these two for their engagement session they seemed perfect. Maybe made for each other? I think so. Check out some of the photographs I made at their wedding.
