Catawba Sustainability Center farming engagement.

I met Elizabeth and Adam a couple years ago when they were living in Fayetteville helping working to promote local food. We shared common interests and so forth and overtime became friends. They are both deeply knowledgeable with promoting and bettering the local food economy and not to mention incredible gardeners.

Adam eventually got a pretty killer job with Virginia Tech at their Catawba Sustainability Center near Roanoke. It was sad when they left, but something you couldn’t pass up – and it isn’t too far away. I was stoked when I learned they were going to get married and asked if I would document it.

We met up at the center for a stroll around a old dairy farm – the first in Virginia. Then the area they are growing and ended at their farm (Singing Spring Farm) that they recently bought in New Castle, Virginia. Below are some of my favorites.
