Adventures on the Gorge Wedding Photographer

A lot of the culture in the New River Gorge is based around those that find themselves in the waters somehow, whether for fun or employment. In this little corner of Central Appalachia, it is almost a lifeblood if you will. Morgan and Jamie were some of those people centered on the flowing waters of the New. Though, their lives have led them out west to new water, they felt a need to say “I do” at the Fayette Station beach below the spanning New River Gorge Bridge, with a small reception at Adventures on the Gorge.

The day started with meeting up with my assistant for the day, Candace Evans – who did a fantastic job. We did the typical getting ready shots, with other shots of various liquids, at the cabins tucked in the back of AOTG. Then we booked it to the bottom of the gorge for a small and sweet ceremony. The ceremony was just right with the waters of the New almost touched the feet of the wedding party. We got in a short couples session after words and made a couple stops on the way back up to AOTG.

Rafters can dance and they like to party. Take that to the bank. Lots of strong ales and red wines were flowing as a band played covers and their own. A small dance-off broke out and the winner was…I have no clue. It was a stellar evening and a awesome wedding. Below are some of my favorites.
